Stay Close to Maria

Have you heard? Do you know? There is a secret way to get to heaven…

St Louis De Montfort’s little book, The Secret of Mary, tells of a powerful relationship given to us that is the easiest, simplest path to heaven, to true union with God. Our Lady, our Queen, our Mother, the Immaculata, Mary!

Salve Regina, mater misericordiae; Vita, dulcedo, et apes nostra salve. Hail Holy Queen, mother of mercy; our life, our sweetness, and our hope. When there is death pressing in on us, She is the bearer of life. Our cross may be bitter, but in Her we find sweetness. When we despair or become despondent, the Mother of Divine Mercy is our hope!

In Her immaculate heart, I have found everything that God desires to give me to be His saint, for indeed, She is mediatrix of all graces. I want to share this secret with you by my witness to Her plan for me in seminary, and so this blog must be completely Hers. Perhaps even by my words, made with the vitality of the Holy Spirit, may Her joy be in you and I, and that joy be full!

I arrived at the Pontifical College Josephinum Seminary yesterday afternoon. There I took to heart advice that has governed my life- stay close to Maria. The image of Her I have shared here is a stain glass window located in the chapel up the stairs from my room. See how her hands are clasped over Her heart? If you beseech Her, She will open them to let you be transformed by Her immaculate heart!

  1. Dear Seminarian Maximilian,

May God's grace be upon you as you begin your journey in seminary, following in the footsteps of St. Maximilian Kolbe and consecrated to Jesus through Mary. May you be filled with wisdom, courage, and faith as you discern your vocation and prepare for the priesthood. May the Blessed Mother always intercede for you and guide you closer to her Son, Jesus. Trust in her maternal care and rely on the grace of God to sustain you in your studies and spiritual formation. May you be a light to others and a witness to the love and mercy of Christ.

In the words of St. Louis de Montfort, "If you put all the love of the mothers into one heart it still would not equal the love of the Heart of Mary for her children." May you always feel the tender love and protection of Our Lady as you journey towards the priesthood.

Blessings and prayers for you, dear seminarian. May your time in seminary be fruitful and transformative, leading you closer to God's will for your life.

    In Christ,
    ant
